ACCOUNT
Create a username and open the dashboard
Kaka VPN starts from the user dashboard in the site root. Open the Start Free page, choose a recognizable username and password, and follow the prompts to finish. No email address is required, so there is no email confirmation to wait for. Keep your username and password safe—they are used to view plans, retrieve your subscription, and access the client area later.
If the page opens the account overview after submission, the current session is ready to use. If you remain on the authentication screen, sign in with the username and password you just created. After signing in, confirm that you can see Account Overview, Plans, and Download Client sections. Your account is ready, but no plan is active yet; the next step is to place an order based on your usual data needs.
Before opening the plans page, consider your main use case. Occasional browsing and text work usually call for enough data; regular streaming or file transfers make the monthly allowance more important to compare. You do not need to choose a protocol or route type in advance—you can select one in the client after the subscription is active.
PLAN
Choose a plan and place your order
Open the plans page in the user dashboard to compare monthly subscriptions and data packages. Monthly plans include ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB; data resets monthly on the activation date. Data packages include ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB; they last until used and never expire.
If your usage is consistent and you want a fixed monthly allowance, choose a monthly plan based on your expected volume. For occasional projects, travel, or time-limited tasks, a data package can better match actual usage. All plans support unlimited devices, but usage across multiple devices is still combined under the same account, so consider your desktop and mobile totals together.
After selecting a plan, the page shows the amount due and available payment methods. Kaka VPN supports Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. Confirm that the plan name, data allowance, and amount match before submitting the order, then complete payment on the checkout page. The marketing terms for the first payment include a 60-day no-questions-asked refund; see the full scope and process in the Terms of Use.
After payment, return to the account overview and wait for the plan status to update. If the old status still appears immediately after checkout, refresh the account overview instead of creating another order. Once you see the plan name, remaining data, or active status, the service is ready and you can retrieve your subscription.
SUBSCRIPTION
Get your subscription from the account overview
After activating a plan, open the account overview. Find the option to copy the subscription or import it into a client. A subscription is not a single route; it is a collection of routes linked to your account. The client displays available regions and route names after it reads the subscription successfully, so you do not need to copy server addresses, ports, or protocol parameters manually.
After you copy it, the system places the current subscription in your clipboard. A real subscription is an account access credential and should not be pasted into public chats, forums, or screenshots. The example below uses an obvious dummy value only to show how a link looks; it cannot connect to Kaka VPN and is not linked to any account:
https://example.com/sub?token=YOUR_TOKEN
If the client and browser are on the same device, copy the subscription and switch to the client to import it. If you plan to use another device you own, sign in to the user dashboard on that device and copy the subscription again instead of storing it long-term in a public document. Kaka VPN supports unlimited devices, but the account holder remains responsible for managing them.
Keep the user dashboard open after copying the subscription. If the first import says the content cannot be recognized, return here and copy it again rather than using old clipboard content. Next, open the Kaka VPN client for your platform and import the subscription from Subscription Management.
IMPORT
Import the client for your platform
First, get the client for your operating system from the client area in the user dashboard. The marketing site does not provide static installer URLs; downloads and subscription access are kept in the signed-in dashboard. After installation, open the client. Every platform follows the same logic: open subscription management, paste the subscription, save it, and update the route list.
Desktop
Windows
Use the Kaka VPN desktop client on Windows. After opening it, check the sidebar or top menu for Subscription, Configuration, or Add Subscription. Choose Import from Link, paste the content copied from the account overview, give the subscription a recognizable name, and save it.
Run an update after saving. Do not click repeatedly while the client is reading the subscription; wait for the route list to appear. Return to route selection and confirm that multiple regions are listed before continuing. If the list is empty, check the plan status and subscription content first instead of creating a server manually.
Desktop
macOS
Use the Kaka VPN desktop client on macOS as well. Get the client from the user dashboard, install it, and grant the permissions required to establish a network connection when macOS prompts you on first launch. Open Subscription Management, choose Add from Link, paste the subscription, and save it.
After importing, click Update Subscription and wait until route names appear in the main interface. If macOS displays a network configuration prompt, review the application name and requested action before allowing the Kaka VPN client to continue. Once routes are available, leave the underlying protocol settings unchanged and use the default configuration for your first connection.
Mobile
Android
Use the Kaka VPN mobile client on Android. After installing and opening it, go to Subscription Management from the home menu and choose Add via Link. Long-press the input area to paste the copied subscription, making sure no spaces or explanatory text were added before or after the link, then save and update.
Once the route list loads, return to the client home screen and choose a region suited to your current use. The first connection on Android displays a system-level network permission prompt; confirm that the request comes from the Kaka VPN client and allow it to continue. After authorization, return to the app and tap Connect again—there is no need to import the subscription again.
Mobile
iOS
Get the iOS client according to the options shown in the user dashboard. Open the client, go to its subscription or configuration page, choose Import from Link, paste the subscription from the account overview, and save it. Some interfaces refresh automatically after saving; if no routes appear, choose Update beside the subscription entry.
On the first connection, iOS asks you to confirm that a network configuration can be added. After confirming, return to the client, check that the imported subscription is enabled, and choose a regional route. When the route list changes later, update the existing subscription instead of repeatedly creating entries with the same name, which can leave an old configuration selected.
CONNECT
Choose a route and verify that it works
After the subscription imports successfully, choose a region from the client’s route list that is close to your intended destination. When accessing a service offered in a particular region, start with that region or a nearby route. If response time matters most, begin with the geographically closest option. For first use, avoid switching repeatedly between protocols; the default client settings make it easier to identify where a problem occurs.
After choosing a route, turn on the connection. The client should change from Not Connected to Connecting and then to Connected. If the system status bar shows the relevant network indicator and the client is not reporting ongoing errors, the local connection process is complete. Open the target website or app to verify access rather than relying only on the switch color.
During verification, refresh the page you intended to visit, or fully close and reopen the target app. If content loads normally, the current route is working. If a page still uses the previous session, open a new browser window and test again. Once access works, first-time setup is complete; future sessions generally require only opening the client, choosing a route, and connecting.
To change regions, disconnect the current connection in the client before selecting another route and reconnecting. This helps prevent the app from retaining the previous route’s session. Suitable regions may differ for Streaming, AI Tools, and everyday work; if content does not match the selected region, change the regional route instead of deleting the subscription.
Completion checklist
- ✓ The user dashboard shows an active plan, and the account overview can retrieve the subscription.
- ✓ The client has updated the subscription, and a region can be selected from the route list.
- ✓ The client shows Connected, and the target website or app can reload.
- ✓ Disconnect before switching routes so an old session does not affect the result.
CHECK
Quick troubleshooting for the first connection
If the client says the subscription is empty, return to the account overview and confirm that the plan is active. Copy the subscription again and replace the old content in the client, without including any explanatory text before or after the link. If it is still empty after updating, delete the failed subscription entry and add it again from the account overview. Do not guess node parameters manually.
If routes appear but the connection does not complete, stop the current attempt and try another route in the same or a nearby region. Then fully close and reopen the client before connecting again. Desktop systems should also confirm that the client has permission to establish a network connection; on mobile, check that the system authorization shown on first connection was approved.
If the client shows Connected but the target app still will not load, close and reopen the app, then test with another regional route. Some apps retain the session from before the connection, so refreshing the interface alone may not start a new access session. In a browser, open a new window to distinguish page cache issues from route connection issues.
If only one region or type of service behaves abnormally, do not reinstall the client right away. Update the subscription first, then compare routes in nearby regions. Route types, packet loss, evening congestion, and protocol resource usage require deeper technical analysis; see the Technical Reference for Routes and Protocols to choose protocols and route topology for your use case.
